Gates Of Gore Review
JoeBobBriggs.com
NOTES: This film was based on a script sent to us by Falcon Video's Phil Herman and re-tooled for a one-woman performance. We'd never attempted drama before, and usually DO NOT have time for 'outside projects', but decided it'd be a chance to experiment. WAKE UP premiered as part of the 2005 Mental Health Benefit (Athens, GA).

STATUS: Limited-edition DVD sold out!
NOTES: After the 4-minute trailer was posted online in early '04, interest in this flick quickly surpassed that of any of our previous efforts. By the time it was finished (a full year after we'd originally filmed it), it was no wonder that we sold all of our limited edition DVDs when we attended the Twisted Nightmare Con in September. Sadly, HERO COOKIE was the last film that featured our core group of Jacki, Richard, Cookie and Monica, but the writing and performances serve as an example of just how good it can be when everyone gets on the same page.

AllHorrorMovies.com Review
NOTES: After seeing her idol Debbie Rochon in "American Nightmare", Monica wanted to kill a lot of people in a movie. So the script was cooked up in about 4 hours, we got an assload of our friends together out in the woods, and filmed for 15 hours straight! It was tiresome, wet and cold, but a fun experience overall. This is the kind of DV filmmaking that gives DV filmmaking a bad name (Hacker's Source magazine called it a second rate Troma ripoff). But hey, they asked for it! We think the shit is funny.
BUTTONHEAD (2003)
Written and Directed by Andrew Shearer
CAST: Monica Puller, Cookie J. Waters, Jacki Spunk, and Richard Whiskey.

STATUS: Available on DVD from Freak Productions (see below).
Gates Of Gore Review
Film Threat Review
NOTES: This was our first experience shooting on digital video, and we didn't know about the "image stabilizer" button, so some of the scenes in the beginning are shaky as fuck. But by the time the re-animated redneck girl is humping the inflatable alligator, you won't give too much of a crap about "quality". This film is part of the horror anthology FACES OF SCHLOCK, which you can buy on DVD at Freak Productions.
