“Dollface” DVD Now Available

Orders for our latest release are shipping now.

Visit our store to pick up your limited edition copy now. Remember, all DVDs are $8 with free shipping anywhere  in the US. You’ll get a nifty plastic case and a genuine piece of xeroxed cover art with your disc, all put together  by us with our tired, dirty, no budget filmmaker paws.

Also, the first review is in thanks to Sarah over at the Classic City Courier. Sarah was among the lucky souls who attended the theatrical premiere screening last weekend at Athens Cine downtown as part of our yearly film  festival. Check out all the nice things she has to say about us and our new movie.

Last but not least, we want to say thank you to our friend Dan over at DBH CREATIVE for our gorgeous new website. Dan isn’t just an ace web designer; he also spent time in the karo-soaked trenches with us as camera  person for our 2003 flick KILL THE MOVIE and came back for more in 2006 for CANNIBAL SISTERS. If you like what you see, go tell Dan and then give him lots of money to make a website for you.

So much for Loudtwitter…

Oh, internet.

I was using the Loudtwitter service to cross-post my news updates. Now I find out it hasn’t archived any of my posts in two months. Fuck a duck.

At this moment in time, Facebook is where I’ve been posting all the Gonzoriffic news because Facebook is the only thing anyone ever goes to. It’s no wonder David Fincher made a movie about that site; the fucking thing has not only replaced e-mail, but it has basically replaced everything else. I will say this, though, it has shown me that people I’ve never even met can be more supportive of my artistic endeavors than some of my real-life friends. Kind of mind blowing what a simple thumbs-up on a computer screen can do for one’s momentary happiness.

Anyway, a lot has gone on over the past couple months as we gear up for our fall show at Athens Cine. Our new movie, “Dollface”, is completed and the DVDs are ready, they just need a front cover (which our own Rachael Deacon is drawing). The film runs 45 minutes and boasts one of the largest casts we’ve ever had. The whole thing has been an emotional undertaking for me. In the end, despite some darkness in the film, we still managed to bring the tried and true Gonzoriffic pathos everyone loves so much.

Countess Samela and Rachael Deacon both recently completed shooting their respective short films and editing will commence this week on both. That makes the show’s lineup as follows:

DOLLFACE
SLAYER MAILBOX
BERRY SCARY
A FEVER AND A RIVER
UNTITLED TORSO PROJECT
HALF FULL

Hopefully that’ll fill a good 90-minute chunk of time. If not, there’s always old stuff I can resurrect, but it would be nice to have one show that consisted of all-new material. Rachael and I are also working on another art exhibit to coincide with the show featuring her paintings and my photographs. It’s going to be an exciting four weeks :)

One more thing…

Summer 2010 production update

It’s the first day of summer, the longest day of the year. Hot as fuck outside, but some cool shit is happening in our clubhouse.

First off is the ATHENS HORROR SHOW taking place this weekend as part of the yearly AthFest goings-on in town. The late night program features several locally-produced short films, including two of our latest efforts, “Half Full” and “Berry Scary”. This is the big screen premiere for each, so we’re pretty excited. For those who can’t make it out, or don’t live within driving distance, all is not lost. Both films will eventually turn up on a future DVD release.

Gonzoriffic fans in Boston were treated earlier this month to a screening of “I’m In The Basement” at the ALL THINGS HORROR monthly film series, along with films by our friends Maude Michaud and Elisabeth Fies (last-minute technical issues halted the planned screening of “Gimme!”, but the short will appear on the upcoming DVD release of “Fox Holes”, complete with commentary and gag reel).

Our newest movie “Dollface” is currently in post-production and is on track for October theatrical premiere at our next show, followed by a DVD release in late October/early November. If you can get yourself to Athens, you’ll be treated to an art exhibit featuring work by the incomparable Rachael Deacon as well as some new photos by me. If you don’t think this shit will be epic, you better ask somebody.

Stay tuned for more news…this is just a taste of what we got going on :)
